I read your interview of Tommy Yuen in KFQG. I thought it was pretty informative. But I have a question to ask you.

In the article, Tommy Yuen said that to fight in the ring with wing chun, you will need to make some slight modifications to the wing chun foot work. Did he mention what kind of modifications would be needed? Just curious.

Oh yeah, good job on the article about "fighting the person, not the style." Liked that one too.

Hello churn-ging,

I don't recall the exact specifics of the modifications that he had mentioned. I believe the modifications to the footwork that he spoke of were made to accommodate techniques like the round kick, sweeps and throws. However, like I said I don't remember the specifics of the modifications that he spoke of so I'm shying away from speaking for him. I'll be traveling to Hong Kong in a few weeks; perhaps I will get the chance to write another article with him focusing on the specifics of this topic.

For now you can check out his website.

Thanks for your compliments regarding my articles.

Thanks for the help straightblast.

I think that it would be cool for you to write another article with Tommy Yuen on this topic. I think that it would be interesting to read about it.
