I'm thinking about taking White Crane Karate and was wondering how much difference there might be between White Crane Karate and White Crane Kungfu and what the differences might be if any. Thanks, William

From what I have seen Goju Ryu comes closest but even that is very far away.

In Fact the two do not correlate. The essence of White crane is in understanding and developing Jings, Karate does not do this to such depth, no where near in fact....Karate has become unto its own sharing very little to its mother style.

Thank you. The style I'm interesred in is Hakutsuru Shorin-ryu also known as Matsumura Orthodox. They seem to refer alot to China from what little I know. I sat in on a class and was impressed, very fast like Wingchun. I've read that it's a cousin of Wingchun. Anyway I was just wondering if you might know of this style of White Crane Karate. I was also told it was closer to Wingchun than Shotokan. Thanks again, William
