To begin with, what's the airport closest to Irvine CA? And how far from LA is Irvine? I've been wondering if it would be cheaper for me to buy a ticket to washington and then finda ticket to SoCal on my own. So i was wondering what airport i would use (perhaps jsut the LA one?).

Also what are the most popular online places to shop for airplane tickets?

John Wayne International Airport is in Irvine.
Expedia.com is one of the more popular sites for airline tix.

The airport in Irvine is John Wayne Airport. Irvine is about 40 minutes south of LA.

If you mean Washington state you can probably pick up a stand by ticket for around $200US. But if you mean Washington D.C. I'm sure it's much more.

I'll propably go from Iceland-Baltimore, and then buy some ticket from there, that is if the prices on Orbitz.com are accurate :)

Seems that all prices are pretty much the same as people over here said they'd cost except for "Frontier Airlines", any reason they are so cheap? Less service, no stuartess (sp?) ?

Ticket from Baltimore to LA back and forth in frontier seems to be around 300$ (around 500$ is what the airline here was making me pay).
