what's a low end laptop cost in Tokyo? I'm looking for something in the 500-750mhz range?

Hi Daniel.

I would say about 80,000 ~ 120.000Yen
Got one recently for my Wife.

Japanese OS of course, english ones are.
I can show you some good and cheap shops in Akihabara when you are over.

Best is buy one with low memory and than replace it with "Bulk" Memory, about 1/4 price of the "named" stuff.
But you need to know where to shop.
