After all of my kung fu training i have discovered...

I can kick walk signals instead of using my hands.
I sweat a lot when i excercise.
I am no longer afraid to take my vengence out against pointless pieces of furniture for stubbing my toe.
I now understand that boards DO hit back. Its physics you see:rolleyes:
My forearms are larger than my bicepts which makes my arms look REALLY weird:eek:
Girls tend to think im obsessive, there perfectly correct:(
I really should learn to speak Chinese at some stage.
I can stand on the train without holding onto things.
Chinese food tastes good.
Lion dance is fun.
Asian girls are cute.
Chinese tourists can never believe i havent been to China and yet still know kung fu, i deal with this everyday in the Chinese gardens.
Racisim is rife in the martial arts communitity and not just from we gwilo:p
No matter what i think i have comprehended i realise the next week i was only scratching the surface of.
My legs never seem to get over there constant state of soreness and now ive learnt to just deal with it.
Training every day is not as romantic as it sounds.
Everything is uselfull to someone.

Would anyone else like to add some pearls of wisdom they have gained though there training?

Funny how when confronted with the truth you cowards and punks want to change the subject all the sudden!!! what a joke you all are.

Oh I know, life is plenty long to attack someone else but too short when the truth is out of the bag!

Punks and cowards hide on keyboards like comic book characters.

Attacking someone else and then crying when they give it back is typical for cowards and punks.

The truth eradicates darkness.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program...

My girlfriend will probable leave me because she is tired of being attacked from all angles everytime she walks past me:D

Its not the style, its the person or the people that represents the style.

Those who can execute cant teach and those that can't execute, can teach.

I am more humble now.

I size up every person or animal that passes me.

Asian girls are cute.

Women are too high maintenance(oops wrong board

  )

The only means to earn respect comes from action and not words!!!!

I can open doors will my hands full and hold them open.

I can jump higher.

Warriors are born, not built

i've learned many things:

once you think you get somewhere, you realise you still have a long way to go

the view from the top of the mountain is meant to be great but it's a real bugger climbing it (where's the chairlift? :p)

my legs hurt more after standing for long periods of time, than when i used ot do much more 'physical' training

ASIAN GIRLS R CUTE!

saving the 'jing' is a constant battle :D (i'm 22, see above post :p)

my girlfriend is very patient - with me and my training. She is also much more deadly than i can ever hope to be ;)

this kung fu forum is freaky

more fighting seems to happen online than in my entire 'real' life.

Chinese food tastes good!

a Scottish accent makes it very hard to learn Cantonese (or should i say for others to understand it)

every style is 'complete' - it's just those who practise it that are not

actions speak louder than words (except here)

bruce lee has some pretty funky quotes in his books :)

training hard qigong outside makes other people think you are crazy!

i wanna learn how to flip like those WuShu guys :D

How about you just throw a chair!!

Exactly what likuie has accomplished from his 'training'.

Asian girls really are cute!!!

We should all proberly stop picking fights with our girlfriends... they seem to always win :(

We all look wierd to everyone else yet seem to understand each other perfectly;)

Furniture is a constant source of martial ammusement.

Here is a few extras.

Yuen Woo Ping is closest to god on this earth. Well him and a few others:D

My girlfriend wont stop squeezing my hand as hard as she can, yet im not allowed to play this game:confused: I tried Chin Na but she was not happy about it :(

All roads lead to Rome but the length of the journey is different for all.

We are all Richard Mantis! Doesnt this make you paranoid?
I mean - we ALL are!!!

Cats can often beat me in sparring matches, but most dogs dont stand a chance, well maybe the BIG aggressive ones. I prefer to beat up on Beagles, they are just too funny...

Magpies in Australia are a menace to training outdoors.

Girls look good when they do internals, something about the whole swaying twisting bodys thing:p

I need to eat more.

My Bagua sifus hands seem to glow and i DONT understand it.

I hope one day to make my teachers proud of the effort they have put in.

I hope to repay my parents for the kindness they have shown me thoughout my life.

Keep em comming people, there must be somemore things we have all learnt in training time. Heck just write total off the wall rubbish. This whole post is nothing but a change of subject anyway.
How is the weather? Anyone see that local sports team? What came first the chicken or the egg?
What is the meaning of life?
I wanna get a takito!

Likeui,

You and your avatars are called out. If 'You' are not your 'Leader' he should come out in public, into the 'light' and disown you.
He has privately it seems, claiming he knows nothing about this by e-mail to another you have slandered here on this board.

It's all very simple, if you are not him you are as nothing, no face, we don't 'know' you, you are not SPM. If 'You' are your 'Leader', then come into the light, into the public gaze, here, now and directly, put your name to each itemised point of slander against me personally and against my Blood Hakka Pai, Elders and Seniors.

You/He will then get the challenge you seek, openly, directly, here and in public.

Martial arts only makes sense when we understand meaning of word Kung Fu

As we grow older (33...) life really tries to throw you off the Kung Fu path

My girlfriend practices martial arts though thinks my devotion to it is "quaint"...

...But she does'nt get upset when I get up before the sun rises to do rediculous exercices in the dark

Martial arts is not my goal, Kung Fu is.

Dissolving impurities of the mind and humility bring happyness

Spending time on public forums with private affairs is vain.

I never really got into (so to speak) Asian girls

much prefer the Latin type

I do not own a Beaggle

Martial arts is insufficient to understand life, but a good start

I will be soon visiting other Pei Mei practiioners

This makes me happy

I do not seek any public quarrel with anybody

I really like good Japanese food

In fact I prefer Japanese and Vietnamese to Chinese.

Moderators, please help keep private business private.

I have 2 kids who learnt how to say "Kung Fu" before Maman and Papa ;-)

doing both at the same time is madness...and i'm mad :D
most students at my Uni go to bed at the same time as i get up (5/6am)
i go to bed at the time most students get up ;)
training outside is cold!

ALL GIRLS ARE CUTE! <change to previous post> :p

it's scary what people can find through the Internet
public forums are more public than i thought!
This Forum has a lot of knoweledgeable people on it
This Forum has a lot of crazy @ss people on it
Most of us are online (here) far too long each day!
Ninjas like to flip out and kill people :D

1. Gong Fu training is very easy and simple. That's what makes it so hard.
2. Southern Mantis guys scare me.
3. I will never be a Master of CMA (because Asian girls are too cute)
4. As long as your Asian, you can have the body of a 13 year old girl and still be hot as hell.
5. The Chinese language was neve meant to sound sexy, especially when a cute Asian girl is screaming it in passion :D
6. Real Gong Fu training is hard to find the first time around.
7. Once you find it once, it seems real easy to find again.
8. If you like sex and drugs, take a lot of Ginseng.
9. You will porbably never use more than 2 techniques in your life. Everything else is just for fun.
10. Never joke with the Chinese, they'll just look at you funny until you explain the joke and THEN laugh like an idiot.

"After all of my kung fu training I have discovered..." the following re martial arts and life. not as light-hearted, but what came to mind. some of it, anyhow.

1. People in high places who have something to hide can depend on the ignorance of the populace to shield them, unless they go too far or the power structure is shaken.
2. To be good and trusting offers no protection if you insist on thinking for yourself.
3. Dispair happens when what is good in you gets turned against you in life, and you refuse to be otherwise; not knowing what to do, there is no defense other than retreat.
4. Some people live "smarter" than others. To me, that is authentic success. who knows what it really is.
5. Healthy perspiration from exertion is wonderful.
6. If what people say and what they do don't add up, don't trust them, even if you love them.
7. Never appear to take the blame for something you didn't do and expect things to work out because you were innocent.
8. Love does not conquer all; it just hurts.
9. Having something special to offer is not enough. In an alliance, make sure the goals are the same, or at least can co-exist.
10. Jealousy, Denial, and Sadism are amongst the most destructive elements in our psychology.
11. The overtly physical accounts for not nearly 100%.
12. Faith is a suspension of boundaries allowing you to do what is truly possible for you.
13. To be fully myself gives purpose to my life.
14. I will not claim to be humble. I will be what I am.
15. I find certain kinds of lying or deception almost unforgivable.
16. By the time one has figured certain things out, it seems to be too late to do anything about them.
17. Respect means that everyone has a heart that can break. That's the bottom line.
18. You can respect a person, but not necessarily repect his ideas, and it's okay (imo).
19. Agree that everything is useful to someone. It's the purposes that worry me.

oh, and I like Chinese food too.

I started this thread as a joke but your post ranks among the best i have ever read. It is also the reason i come to this forum, there is always someone i can learn from, even if the lesson seems abstract at first.
I will save your post, and i appreciate your energy.
You obviously have an excerlent mind and your skill in relaying your feelings is quite breathtaking to read.
Again thank you for posting.
Respects and regards
Jon

P.S thanks to everyone else for posting as well but i thought codys post deserved special mention.

Kind of don't know what to say, Jon. You can be quite eloquent yourself. I appreciate your good will.
I'm as a rooster on the fence (born in year of rooster too), with a dragon heart. I come here to pour out what I have experienced and seen and thought about. It gets a bit risky sometimes in terms of how what I say is received, and I haven't said all that much yet.
Thank you for your encouragement.

very best,
Cody

1)Everything is kung fu.
2)A little bit consistently is better than a whole lot at once.
3)Principles are more flexible than technique.
4)Things are usually simpler than I think.
5)We can disagree without being disagreeable (within reason).
6)It is good to be alive.

Everything is everything ,
Constant practice is essential almost always,
the more I train in the hostile art is the less hostile ive become in the world outside of cma,
too much sex may hurt your kungfu,
eating healthy and taking care of your body is a good thing it will enhance your training,
people are people, and there is politics everywhere.
relationships inside the kwoon might not be such a brilliant idea,
everybody has a different pace of learning,
go with the flow
what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger when you heal.

asian girls are cute , but so are blacks and indians
there is No ultimate style , its just how hard each individual trains and what level they are at in thier personal development not martial discipline,

taekwondo people and wingchun people are very arrogant ,
enjoy life , life is what you make it , train hard.

Rodz.

:) It's nice to see a fun non-politically oriented post on this forum.

And Chinese girls are really really cute... ;)

1. Kungfu is difficult to understand, it can also be spelt in many ways.
2. Chi is even more difficult to understand because it is simpler than Kungfu.
3. Chinese girls are hot
4. You are never good enough.
5. You are never rich enough.
6. Just when you thought you are good enough, someone will kick your butt
7. Those that talk much arent any good
8. Those that dont talk are either very good, or just psycho
9. Enjoy life, I mean really enjoy life, its short
10. Warrior, hero, millionaire or BBJ superstar, we will all be stripped of those things and die.
