This is a question i would like to ask all of u

Pak Hok Pai (White Crane Pai) of lama origins is mainly based in the NSW area in AUstraila. there are teachers in campelltown, chinatown, wollongong.

i was wondering whether there are Australians that would like to learn this style in other states and areas but due to geographical reasons are unable to pursue this kung fu style. And where these interested ppl are located.

I was also wondering whether there were Australians who would be willing to pursue the art by visiting the sydney area for intense study of the art for ...2-4 wks at a time and a sifu who would be willing to visit their location occassionally throughout the year.

this is a question raised solely for my own reasons as i wish to begin teaching this art in 2007. Any constructive response is welcome.

thankyou,

jon

Im a Sydney based martial artist.
I have two systems to which im dedicated in Bagua and Hung. However im a BIG believer in always keeping my eyes open and having an understanding of the way in which other styles play.
If you guys where to offer intensive short courses i may well be interested in getting a grounding in the system.
I have much respect for the Pak Hok Pai and would certainly be interested in seeing some of there technique.
However i would not be able to dedicate myself to the style i would only be able to get a small grounding for interests sake, you never know the future but this would be my main interest.
Would this interest you or are you only looking for students who are willing to take up the system fully?

hi Jon,

your interest in obtaining reasonable levels in different kung fu styles is similar to mine. I plan to pursue pak hok pai as my main specialisation but to also along the way explore other alternative styles.

I personally have no problems in teaching a student who only wants to reach a certain level within the style. not everyone wishes to learn the complete style. i think i will hold true to my sifu's willingness to teach. btw my personal plans to teach in 2007 will involve an interview process. I don;'t plan to teach everyone that happens to want to learn. the character of the person will be quite important.

but all this is in the future. my email is bakhokpai@hotmail.com. keep in touch and we'll see what happens :). thanks for your expression of interest and your response, it is greatly appreciated.

regards,

jon

* I like that in a sifu you obviously value your knowledge, good to see. I will certainly keep in touch it would be something i would be interested in for certain.
You never know by 2007 i may well have something to exchange;)
