A Two Day "WORST CASE SCENARIO"
Self Preservation Training Seminar
In this course Demi Barbito will cover the tactics and training methods for various elements in Self Preservation Training including:
* Empty Hand (long range - trapping range - clinch)
Counter Assault Tactics - Stinger Sets - Close Quater Combat
* Attribute Development - (Combat Athletics)
Lastico Variations - Solo Training - Conditioning
* Mindset - (Psychological/Emotional Aspects)
* Stick and Knife - Long range. The use of projectiles. Attack, Defense, Footwork, Retention, Drills, Attributes and Sparring. We will be using the paint knives.
*Improvised Weapons (Fighting with projectiles-chairs-incidentals etc)

*Tactical OC Spray Training
This program trains the student on the understanding of the use and limitations of OC Spray (Oleoresin Capsicum). This training covers the following:
o The various types of chemical defense sprays available.
o The range of potential effects of OC Spray on an attacker.
o The potential dangers of OC Spray.
o When and how to deploy OC Spray. Stances/verbal commands and tactical movement.
o Decontamination procedures.
Training is done with inert Law Enforcement training units that spray water (supplied by the CSPT). You will be able to train for real and actually play out scenarios.

*Firearms - (Defensive/Tactical Handgun)
This classroom course will provide a variety of basic defensive/tactical handgun techniques. This class is for the beginning as well as the intermediate shooter.
Topics to Include: Safety; Manipulation Skills; Elements of Marksmanship;
Loading & Unloading; Clearing Malfunctions; Ready and Search Positions, Tactical Movement, Cover and Concealment. You will also learn how to go into Hunter/Killer Mode by moving around corners, entering rooms and using architecture to your advantage. You will also learn how to go into Aggressive Capture Mode through a series of verbal commands and tactical movements which will allow you to safely hold an intruder until the police arrive.
*SIMUNITION
The FX Marking Cartridge is fired from an actual duty weapon. The weapon functions and cycles just like it would with lethal ammo but the FX Marking Cartridge is non-lethal. It is "reduced energy - live fire" ammo". Special protective gear is utilized to avoid injuries but maintain realism. The "scenario based" training structure brings the traing experience to an entirely new level. There are no what-if's or "I would have..." or "if this happens I might..." You will be put into a live fire scenario and play it out for real! The use of FX Marking Cartridges, Firearm Conversion Kits, protective gear, role players, structured scenarios, low light, noise etc. creates a real life atmosphere here to fore unattainable. This is the highest level of firearms training/testing available.
This Self Preservation training program is designed to give the participants tactics/training methods and ideology that will keep them training for months after the seminar.
