i was wondering for the origin of the choy lay fut forms names .

doesn't teet jeet kuen mean something like "iron arrow fist " ? or something like that ... :D :confused:

siu = little, muy fah = plum blossom, kuen = fists or a form.
tit = iron, jin = arrow, kuen = fists.
fey = flying, loong = dragon, sin = fan.
kow = to detain, da = to strike, kuen = fists.
che = to practise, kuen = the fists or the hand techniques.
lie = to train, ma = the horse or stance.

Are there different names for the sup ji kau da kuen??
I mean the original long version and the shorter version.
And whats the translation for sup ji tien kuen??

The long version which is the original version is Sup Gee Kow Dahn Kuen. After various shortened it became:
Dai Sup Gee Kow Dah Kuen (long version)
Sui Sup Gee Kow Dah Kuen (short version)
