John McSweeny-Passed Away

I found out that Grandmaster John McSweeny passed away on Feb 26th.

What a loss, I heard a lot of great stuff about him, a real old school warrior, trained with a few of his people before, great system.

The father of Karate in Ireland.

I have never met the man, But my Fiancee traines at Saviano's White Tiger Kempo in Addison IL. Master McSweeny was the head of her lineage. She's on the way to class right now, and probually does not know yet.

We have pictures of him and Mr. Saviano on either side of Terri. I've heard lots of stories about him, he sounded like a real "Charecter" and a great man to be around.

He produced some great fighters I'm told, and If Mr. Saviano is a reflection of him, he was a great teacher too.

I'm sure that whole club will be down in the dumps tonight.

If he's being funeraled in the Chicago area, I'm sure to be there.
