Does any one know anything about this system? Has anyone studied it and can give me some insight about this art? Can you compare it to another style?

Thanks,
Xicaju

What I do know about Hop gar is not much but I hope it helps you....

It orginated in the Tibetan Mountains developed from the movements of the Ape, and Crane I can't give you exact dates cause I don't know , but it was during the 1600's during the Ming Dynasty. i do know that its can be traced to Ng Yim Ming, and as far back as Wong Yin Lum... also it is noted that Wong Yin Lum was one of the Ten Cantonese Tigers....!!!!

Thats the extent of what I know , also you may want to check out a book on hop gar by David Chin, and Mike Staples... hope this helps
