Has it been proven in the UFC, that is the real question, if not how do i know its effective?

That's it!...BJJ is going under(water)! In the old days, Loyd Bridges used to cut the other guy air hose or pull off his mask and that was it.Now they go for the armbar!...Well...:rolleyes:

Techniques such as these can be found in some koryu styles. In fact, swimming was taught a a special skill, like knot tying or the sword, etc, and self defense in the water was considered valuable. Japan is an island after all.

When trying to perform Ma bu in the local swimming pool,
I find that I keep floating upside down!

Could anybody help me here?:eek:
