I've recently stepped up my strength and endurance training, and I'm doing so with my flexibility training too.

At the moment, I'm stretching (holding the position for 30 secs or so, not ballistically) in various directions as part of the warm up, then doing my chigung and wc forms, plus press-ups, sit-ups and leg exercises, then going back to stretching.

I'm thinking that finishing with stretching is a good way to ensure not completely seizing up (:rolleyes: ), and these last stretches I'm doing for longer to try and increase my flexibility.

My problem is, sometimes, because of the intensity of the strength training, I don't have the strength left to do the final stretches!!!:rolleyes:

I've tried stretching (for flex, not just a warm up) first, but find that this seems painful in a detrimental way.

So, my question is: When do you do what stretches?
