Just curious, I haven't heard anything about them since Sliwa was shot in a cab a number of years ago.

There are quiet a few over here in Tokyo.

Went to check them out some time back,
stll see them ocassionally walking the streets and on TV.

From what I can gather 2 yrs ago, they were doing fine worldwide.

I did a search on them right after I posted this. It seems they have grown quite a bit.

I know they all train in various Martial arts, so I thought some may be members here on KFO.

Some of the reacent events both here and on cyberkwoon got me thinking about them. They appear to have a cyberangel chapter going now that is dedicated to hunting child porn and pedofiels online.

One of them trains at my Kwoon as the have their Musashino Head Office halfway between my House and the Kwoon.

yeah, they are one h e l l of a top notch organasation.

The founder Curtis Sliwa, ONE TOUGH DUDE!! Got shot numerous times point blank in that cab, and LIVED.

It takes much more than I'v got to do the jobs they do. Kind like being a cop or military, only they are UN ARMED!!

I got hellish respect for them, been on a few patrols with them.

In Japan they now started by the looks of it a new subgroup:
Samurai Juku or Guardian Angel MA Team.

One thing the guys do over here is go up against the Bozozoku (Bike gangs) and chase them out of the area.

Who needs NHB, Pride & UFC when you can see some real actions joining the GA and help your City aswell.

I left as my Work commitments got too heavy.

The Guardian Angels are still around in NYC. I see some of them occasionally. Though none recently. Curtis Sliwa has a radio show on a local AM station. I've never listened to it since I really don't go in for that talking head kind of program.

That Sliwa or Silwa dude whatever his name is, talks out his arse. He lumps people together, rarely distinguishing petty criminals (like weed smokers) from hardcore ones. His opinions are just that with no scientific basis behind them. Why didn't he become a real cop? He just wanted publicity and notariety. His intentions are good, but he doesn't live in reality. The GAs ain't got a clue about nathan, let alone real MAs!

Sliwa is on a morning talk slot along with an activist Communist (card-carring) Lawyer. It is an amusing match up. He operstes out of WABC ,770 AM radio , which ash almost always been a big deal outfit in these parts.

Sliwa's views might be cave-manish in the views of some, but to me he dosen't qualify as a 'talking head' since he OBVIOUSLY "walks the talk" so to speak.

As far a MA, I know Sliwa Knows some of tha Mantis system (take that gapplers! lol) , sicne he mentioned it on one if his mourning programs, but I don't know what his base system is or what substyle of Mantis he does (or did). Ether way, one tough SOB.
