I am curious about this. Does the Northern Sets have a Tibetan influence?

Not that I'm aware. However, the arms and legs can only move in a limited number of ways so that there are going to be what appears to be similar techniques.
But I did hear that Tibetan had Lo Han influence. The two styles cross paths in Canton, China in the 1800's. Never could verfiy it.
