That sounds fun. I went to a tournament in Biloxi and I had a great time. I emailed that address for more info so hopefully I'll get some feedback. Hopefully I can get my classmates to join me this time.

I don't think it will make a difference. Cung Le is located in California and we're in Florida. Hopefully in the future, there will be a Sanshou tournament every weekend!

I think the timing will make a difference. I think the more experienced, and those looking for a challenge will go to Cung Le's tournament.

You can contact Andrew Chung for more info. His email is chungtaiqi@aol.com. I know he is going to be putting up a website about the tournament. I'll post it on here as soon as I get a link.

There were a lot of Choy Lay Fut Sanshou fighters last year. However, in addition to CLF, there are Wing Chun, Eagle Claw, and Northern stylist as well. Fighting was very competitive. It's great to see all the traditional stylist in Sanshou.

Let me check with Sifu and see when it will be up. He is having another student working on the site.

It seems like you are stressing the fighting part of the tournament. Isn't it true that many of the students from some of these schools couldn't fight if there life depended on it. What makes this tournament different. Do you expect a big turnout for the fighting. Just curious.

Badfroggy, I think there is only one way for you to find out if there are good fighters, and that is to either compete or attend. Lot of the schools that attend produce excellent fighters. You'll see a lot of wing chun, choy li fut and eagle claw. You'll definitely have competition.

Where and When. I will definately have to check it out. How are the divisions determined? Is it by belt color or weight class or combination of the two?
