Hi, has anyone seen this book? It's by Lian Shou-you and he usually writes good books. What do you guys think of it? I scanned it briefly in the bookstore and thought it was good, but 50 dollars is a little steep for the price. Would like your opinions before I plunk down money for it. Thanks.

It is a VERY good book. The production quality is high (hard cover) and very informative.

It is not an inexpensive paperback...compare it to typical paperback martial arts books that run between $15 and $22 and then look at the number of photos, explanations, pages, etc... and you will see that in size, it is about like two of those types of books and then hard cover...so not cheap but not overpriced either.

The authors have out done themselves. I recommended it here on an earlier thread. If you're a serious English-language researcher, this book is a must have. Well worth the investment!
