Hi,

Just new to kung - fu, so was just seeing what a normal training sessions

our consists off:

approx 50 mins fitness, including practicing kicks punches, stances etc but all dont in a fitness way, what I mean by this is we dont do them slow and precise

approx 30 mins of practising our form and learning new blocks etc etc.

Approx 10 mins of meditation

My questions is this a normal traning session in all your experiences??

Hi mate,

I don't think there is really a 'normal' training session, friends who go to other schools have very different sessions to mine. My Sifu usually gives us about an hour of hard workout :ab exercises, pushups, kicks, running, conditioning, stretching, etc. followed by about 10 mins of breathing exercises then we spend the second hour of the lesson working on techniques and occasionally pad work.

Does your lesson work for you?

Both examples sound pretty normal to me, if there is such a thing. A hour and a half or a two hour class can only be divided so many ways and the examples given give each of the catagories at least the minimum required amount of time as I've come to understand it.
