There is a school near me that teaches lung jop pai kung fu. What is this. I am assuming that it is some dragon style. What does jop mean? Any info would be appreciated.

check their lineage. This is only a start. I know of a school that was affiliated with a traditional Sifu that lion danced in Chinatown. Well, traditional Sifu or not, these guys were using a dead lion-eyes not opened, lion not awakened. All the store owners closed up when they saw them coming-bad luck. People in the street were walking away, some laughing. Sometimes lineage tells you nothing. Do some research on the system, then ask around. Talk to as many people online and off.

There is a Lung Jop Pai kung fu school in Hightstown, NJ (Shaolin Kung Fu Institute). I studied there for a while.

The Sifu there is currently (I think - I left several years ago) studying under Sifu Yip in Chinatown, NYC.

The Lung Jop Pai taught in the school in Hightstown is a Northern Shaolin Dragon.
