Sneaky baastard got into my apple and forced me to bite him in half!
Here I am just day dreaming about kickin the crap out of my boss and trying to decide what sort of martial art I should learn to do so when crunch, there i sthis bitter taste in my mouth as I chew my apple an I look down to see whats left of a wiggling little worm in it! Before the signal could really get to my brain, must have been pre-occupied with kickin ass, I took the bit down and ate the rest of it! Am I freakin wierdo or what! Not only that but I sat and chewed it and with every castigatory movement I just grew more irritated at eating a worm!
Someone wil pay.......

We're all just destined to be worm food, just as cows are destined to be big macs.

Yes but while I am alive and eating apples, I will be fighting the good fight!

Don't tell me you've never eaten a worm out in the field?

Or a fly, sand flea, 6 or 7 ants, or anything else not "meant" to be eaten by normal human beings (or softer human beings - Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard)?

Semper Fly!

LOL! AT - I never did pick up the habit of sleeping with my mouth closed in Kuwait! I probably downed enough crawling protien to kill off a species or two! Its amazing what you can wake up with crawling out of your mouth when you are sleeping on the sound, apparently the critters out there will go for any source of moisture they can find!

...but i did develop quite a taste for fried scorpions in China. Crunchy, yummy. And it wasn't until several years later that I learned you weren't supposed to eat the stingers...

Worms are just too squishy. Bleah. :p

They have scorpions in China? I suppose they do in the south, yeah?

What about snakes/spiders/any other less than desirable in your shoe wildlife I should know about?

A friend of mine used to shoot small birds with a long bow, then cook them and eat them.

I once swallowed a small fish whole, straight out of the river, to impress a girl. It worked as well.

Some of those girls more dumberer than we is. :)

...you'll do fine in China. Yes, China has snakes and big bugs, but they eat them. The wildlife is the least of your worries. Try not to eat anything endagnered, it's extrememly bad karma...

Scorpions are a delicacy in Zhengzhou, where Shaolin is. They are farmed. Check out the book Man eat Bug - can't remember the publisher or author but it had this great pic of a sweet S. American girl taking a bite out of a fried tarantula on the cover. Very interesting read, mostly pics, but they show a scorpion farm in China. What a way to make a living...

Old Mc Donald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o
And on this farm he had some scorpions, e-i-e-i-o
With a pinch sting here and a sting pinch there, here a sting, there a pinch everywhere a pinch sting...

What a way to give your kids nightmares.
