What the hell happened to Lloyd? I haven't been on the net for 4 weeks and i get an e-mail saying he may never grapple again.

Lloyd was landed on his head while being thrown with a Khabarelli Pick-up during a Shiai in Philadelphia.

You can see how a person could take a severe neck impact from this throw.

He severely injured the c5 and c4 vertabrae/discs in his neck. He is seeking opinions from many doctors. Some have suggested surgery, some have not. Fusing is an option that has been discussed.

This is a very real injury that may affect his competitive career.

He's moving about slowly and seems to have set up an office in his kitchen at home. If I know him, he's itching to get back on the mat.
