favorite hand strikes

Which is your favorite way of striking with the hands, and why?

Fist, palm, fingers, knifehand, back of hand, etc.

No elbows and legs.....yet.

I seem to like short eliptical punches now-a-days when close to my training partner. By "eliptical" I simply mean a punch that's not thrown in a straight line, not necessarily a hook.

I find them to be quick, snappy, and easy to throw from pretty much any arm position.
