Hard training and bruising resulting from it will usually cause some type of stagnation, primarily of Qi and if untreated then that of blood. Qi stagnation is the biggest pain in the world because the Liver is responsible for promoting the smooth flow of Qi throughout the whole body. Whenever anyone sufferes from the classic syndrome of Liver Qi Stagnation then there are a whole volume of symptoms they can expect from dietary problems, emotional disturbances and upsets, constriction in the chest region, inability to relax properly, headaches, imbalance of anger and many more. If you are bruising too easily then this would indicate a Spleen deficiency too.

The spleen is responsible in Chinese Medicine for the transportation and transformation of all substances. It also has the job of controlling the blood in the vessels. So when you get hit of have an accident the vessels of capillaries burst and create bruises. If the spleen is not up to its usual standard of health one will find more than the average amounts of bruising occuring especially from seemingly smaller knocks and hits. If the Spleen is deficient then its usual symptoms are classically recognised as: loose stools with undigested food inthem, muzzy heads, weak energy in the mornings, difficulty in concentration levels, abnormal changes in diet, over thinking and anxiousness etc.
The spleen is a commomn organ to upset because it can be so often by diet alone i.e. eating too much or too regularly of raw or uncooked foods or damp forming foods like: bacon, all dairy products, greasy foods, orange juice, and generally cold uncooked foods.

Can you suggest a diet for the spleen? Note, I do not eat of these foods you mentioned, I have no problem with bruising, some students do though.
