Hi folks,

I've stopped my martial arts training for a while now due to lack of finances (im a student).

I'm keeping up my fitness routine though with running, weight training, and circuit training.

I hope to start martial arts again soon, but in the mean time does anyone know any exercises for developing and maintaining reflexes and hand/eye co-ordination that i've built up in the past with sparring.

Also, i usually stretch for flexability after a cardio workout but should i do it after running aswell? (i usually run 5miles at 8-9minute mile pace, i've only just started getting back into it).

Thanks for any help.

Yes mate, stretch always.

Also, reacting to anything random will help your reflexes. Anything which is a random but slightly predictable change will help you build reflex. Don't ask me what.

Traffic lights, slight delay on changing channels etc.

Juggling is hard! I can juggle two things :) I could never get three, though, although I haven't tried in a long time.

Try juggling while riding a unicycle. :D

Train hard or don't train at all.:D

I am not liable for anything if you try this.
