Does anyone know of any true information on this subject? Was it a real goup of fighters?, or just a movie. Possibly a web site to look at? Thanks.

I believe there was a legend that goes along with that tasty morsle of a shaw bros. classic. But unfortunatly I do not know it off hand.

I think they did truly exist, though I don't think they all lived at the same time. Supposedly Wong Kay Ying, Wong Fei Hung & Fong Sai Yuk were 3 of the 10 Tigers.
That's about all I know. Not a whole lot of help I'm afraid.:(

I'm pretty sure that the names of the Ten Tigers were
Hao Yu Bin, Sum Yung Gai, Won Hung Lo, Chu Mi, Sum Dum Gai, Fuk Yu Tu, An Yu Tu, Do Re Mi and Fa So La Ti. Fa So La Ti had a brother named So La Ti Do who was an original member but 11 tigers didn't sound as cool as 10 so they kicked him out.
I wouldn't quote me on that though.....hehehe

i think there was more than 1 generation of '10 tigers' as WKY and WFH were different generations... not sure tho! :)

The Ten Tigers of Kwantung did exsist, they were lay monks of the Shaolin system one of them Sou Hei Hu is founder of the
Shaolin Black Tiger Fist System. Shao lin Hei Hu Ch'uan.
