O.K,

So i got a nice 100 pound second hand punching bag made of canvas. I thought i might hook it up in my garagge but the force of the bag moving side to side puts too much stress on the support beams. (they are only 2X4's)..

Who here has plans to build your own heavy bag stand? Better yet, who has tried some of the cheaper stands out there? I mean 800 U.S is ridiculous for a stand..149$ isn't soo bad. Advice please!(TKO has one that cheap..the combined bag and speed bag stand)

My teacher has an awsome frame in his back garden for his punch bag/top and bottom ball. Its made out of scaffold provided free by a freindyl scaffolder who used to train with us.

it consists of 2 large triangular frames 15 feet or so high connected by 2 lengths of scaffold.

Its great, really stiff very hige and lots of room underneth.

just go find a freindly scaffolder and bribe him to put one up for you.
