At what stage is sparring introduced in CLF?

I read in Doc Fai Wong's book that after several 2-person sets have been learned, then sparring follows.

I'm just curious about when other CLF schools introduce sparring, and if DFW's school still follows this same progression.

In other words, what should the CLF student have completed before s/he starts sparring?

I think it does depend on the student.

When it came to following Lee Koon Hung, sparring was taught very early. Not the first day of course but you were encouraged to start when you felt comfortable and when they thought you were ready. There was no real time table but I would say within the 1st 6 months or so.
