Football doesn't start until September bro. And Mexico doesn't have a football team.

That may be so but we kicked Mexicos butt!

Hey maybe if we win the cup we can finally change the name to soccer!

The best part is, the US getting this far ticks off the rest of the world.:D

Exactly Rogue...

And Volcano--it doesn't matter who we lose to...Mexico lost to us :) :):):)

I wouldn`t say we kicked Mexico`s ass at all. Sure the score said one thing, they controlled the game. We were just lucky, plain and simple. But in sports, luck is a very good friend.

Now we have the Powerful Germans...yikes!

The match I`m most interested in, England vs Brazil. And how about the team from Senegal! They look like a squad having friggen fun...watch these guys.

Actually, I don't really care. Soccer is phenomenally boring to me. So are Americanfootball and baseball.

I like watching Sumo, Boxing, ISKA stuff when it's good and Rugby.

I was just entertained by Volcano's comment about Mexico beating the US. Then the yeah, but somebody else will get you comments.

Well, that might happen. But it won't be mexico--call it perverse glee :)

At least he got the score right.

You like Sumo?

Man that stuff puts me to sleep. Which by the way is much better than if it made me *****.

Just for the record I dig watching, if its on, gymnastics, boxing, college wrestling, kick-boxing, and of course midget porn.

Agree that soccer is dang boring.

But American Football? Come on! :p

I love American Football, Im a fanatic of the sport. Could be cause I'm a St. Louisan, and the Rams are our team..going to the Superbowl this year baby! :D

At least soccer doesn't have TV timeouts :D

I still think the skills and fitness required to play soccer are higher than most sports though.

I think for kids that soccer is one of the best sports to learn. I played from 2nd grade up to 8th. I think there is a wealth of information for a martial artist to learn from researching sport training and methods of technique.

Things like golf, soccer, football, baseball, hockey, tennis, what have you.

American Football! Come on! That's just gay rugby! They wear armour and have breaks every fifteen minutes for chrissakes! Why don't you change the name to something sensible like 'handball', or 'carryball', or '***gotball' .:D

The world sports federations might just let you guys have a rugby sevens side by 2005, but you should probably start by playing with the girls!

As for the World Cup (notice 'World': this has more countries than say the 'World' Series, but then I suppose you yanks love playing with yourselves!:D ) you are gonna get your asses whupped by the Germans... then again, don't fancy England's chances against the Brazilians much. Good job we have so many national sports to suck at!;)

Sumo in the (plenty of) flesh is way cool. Those fat ****s really are athletes. You don't see how fast and strong they are til you see them live. Awesome. The TV just ain't big enough!

Volcano: where are you from? I only wondered cos I didn't know there was a language where 'admim' means '****tard'.

Say what....

ok

Breaks - Give me time to get up and get a beer, snacks, ect, without missing any action. Don't know how you guys get by without it.

Padding allows our guys to really smite each other...unlike those wuss rugby guys, and aussie rules.. They don't hit at 100% power ;)

'Sides, if i lived in Dallas or something, I'd be like "Man, Am Football sux" because the cowboys bite. Ah, but the Rams on the other hand, are a Superbowl caliber team. Hard not to cheer for them.

I wish dodgeball would become an Olympic sport. 2-0 is just being lucky? And as far as Mexico controlling the ball reminds me of a Bill Parcell quote, "the only numbers that matter is the score".

Gabriel has now made my official ****list.

And the rams have the ugliest uniforms in the league. Followed closely by the packers and the broncos.

I hate to say it but the US team has done very well - it's as though someone gave them a '10 do's and don'ts of football' and they decided that they'd stick to that rigidly.

Additionally the US manager is very sound tactically - by using 3-5-2 the US completely screwed the Mexicans over as they had no room on the wing. Credit to the US for playing a different system so well.

I don't think Germany will have an easy game - they've had an easy route so far and the US certainly shouldn't fear them. Plus I work for a German company and there's nothing better than winding them up after their team loses.

2-1 to England against Brazil - Rio Ferdinand header and a Dave Beckham freekick. Please god.

Now all we have to learn is how to be proper hooligans. I wonder if we'll proceed our rampages with airstrikes just out of habit?:D

Wow, I made it to a list... :D

Phooey, who cares about uniforms anyway? Yes, they are ugly. Why in gods green earth did they change their colors from their first superbowl winning year? Anyway, they are a superbowl caliber team, and they're going to the Superbowl this year baby!

Played rugby in P.E. in high school :p

I suppose I touched a nerve cause I insulted the Cowboys...well they aren't so bad I guess, they had their hayday. But we're the biggest show on earth! ;)

Thanks for the well said and kind words Kaitain. It is unusual for a Brit to have these regards for U.S. put in a friendly way. As for the match against Mexico, on any given day, anything is possible. This being said, I think the German squad will eat our lunch. Don`t you think experience will prevail?

Alot of us in America follow the English league. My team of choice is a London club, Crystal Palace. Not the best, but great underdogs! I have been a fan since the 70`s.

May the God`s be with you England! As for our USA squad ,um like, pray hard...

Didn't the Oz-NZ FIFA World Cup qualifier have the rather unique feature of 13 yellow cards and 2 reds? Are you boys just not a little confused?!:D

That's why us poms call your national game 'Ozzie No-Rules Football'!! What is it again...? No elbows, no eye-gouges, no fish-hooks... no wait, that's NHB!:D

You see, that's where you're wrong with footie... the artistic merit, of leaping in the air, back arched backwards, clutching your shins with an elegant pirouette to land you just in the ref's line of sight... the linesmen have to do several years as figure-skating refs first you know...

OK, let's get this thread back on line

1. It's called FOOTBALL, not soccer.

2. Rogue, please don't start trying to improve your level of hooliganism in the USA, it's just about the only thing that we here in the UK are still the best at !!!!!!

3. I really, really hope the USA beat Germany, maybe a 5-1 like we did last year ??? (nothing personal to any germans out there)(actually, what the hell, I guess it is kinda personal!!!!!!!!)

4. Where's the killjoy on this thread with the "this has nothing to do with kung fu blah blah blah"

5. Do enjoy watching American Football but they are a bunch of fairies really, and whoever thinks rugby players don't hit full power might be in for a rude awakening one day!!!!

6. In case you forgot, IT'S CALLED FOOTBALL, NOT SOCCER

:D :) :D :)

Uhhh...."American Football" players are probably the most physically talented athletes in the world. Please show me a 340 pound rugby player that can run a sub-5 second 40 yard dash(not sure what that is in meters). Do not let the pads fool you. They do not offer that much protection. If they did, there wouldn't be so many injuries. Not that I'm "dissin" rugby. I love rugby. But American Football is a pretty brutal sport too. You really have to have played to understand this.

I've come to the conclusion that this forum (the main KF forum) is like KFO's OG.

If someone really wants to know something about their art then they'll go to the specific forum.

People don't even bother putting OT in front of OT threads no more.

I'm not complaining, just observing.

Oh, and out of the 8 teams in it now, 4 of them were 100-1 to win at the start.
