Yes, that's right. There is a metal band called Dim Mak. I haven't heard any of their music, but today when I was at the cd store I was looking at Dimmu Borgir cd's and right infront of those was a cd called "Dim Mak." Out of curiosity, I picked it up and looked at some of the track titles. The album is called "Intercepting Fist." I remember the first track was called "Pheonix-Eye Fist."

Wait, here's a complete track listing by amazon.com.

1. Phoenix Eye Fist
2. Tai Pan Snake Venom
3. Komodo Whip Shambling
4. Mindgate
5. Den Of The Avalanche Dragon
6. Interceptor
7. Climbing Knife Mountain
8. Nine Head Serpentine Sire
9. Essence Of The Northern Fists
10. To The Negative Power

Here it is at amazon if you want to see it

It'd be cool if they were actually into kung fu.

Hey GDA (and anyone else), maybe we should check out this cd since it sounds like a black metal band. It says Morbid Angel's guitarrist is in the band.

Wow, I see copy right infringement on that CD cover. The fist is the logo from the Wing Tsun logo

Look on the back of the guys shirt (the one in black getting his butt kicked by Emin). Same logo. And the arrow circles going around the fist is on the back of the book Tao of Jeet Kune Do.

Im willing to bet they have some kind of liking to Kung Fu if they know this much about it.

Never heard of that band, but we had one here in Sydney, AUS called One Inch Punch that were reasonably popular on the pub circuit.

Yes, but they were knocked out of the #1 spot by the new album by "Ground and Pound."

Ok, lame joke... skewer me now... :)

I think 'Cross Training' ended up holding the top spot for the record length of time though! :)

There's a hardcore band Spazz that has a lot of kung fu lyrics and album covers. They're really good. For example "intoxicated kung fu like a cracked out sifu , taste the nectar of ancient masters" They got a song called gnome servent thats about D&D too!

An unusual mix.
it can be that band is a group of extremely tough metal players with some link (like movies, cult etc) to kung-fu,or of course they can be like so many other metal bands-thin men singing about legendary wars done on horseīs back,or else, death, despair etc.
I think MA and previous subjects donīt mix that well...

Iron Fist:

Dim Mak is a band made up of members from the band Ripping Corpse. The Morbid Angel link is because the current 2nd guitarist in MA - Erik Rutan, used to play in Ripping Corpse. That's it.

You should check out their site and download some MP3s before you buy the disk. I guess it's sorta death-ish with some other influences. I don't really like it but you might.

They basically put a bunch of kung-fu related stuff together for their whole image. Basically just a gimmick.
