After MP's thread, and also musing about PaulLin's thread on rooting on a sports canvas...
What is rooting?
Is it best just to define it as:
1) attaining a stance or body structure which provides a stable base to launch an attack, and provide stability against an attack; or
2) methods of sinking your bodyweight to provide a link to the ground;
3) other!!!
And does it help to think of rooting as a transitory stage itself, because if you become too rooted you lose your fluidity and restrict your angles of attack/defence; or as a solid, stable immovable base?
Cheers for your thoughts!
