I've seen quite a few pro mma tournaments live now, and this one was a pretty poor bunch.

The Frye-Takayama fight was only worth watching for the amount of sheer damage they could both take. Frye looked more skilled, but basically it was a slugfest from start to finish, each of them just charged at each other and went at it with their rights.

If you don't like bjj watch Renzo Gracie and Shungo Ogawa (I think it was) in a really really embarassing 'fight'.

There were a couple of good fights. Literally two out of the eight I think, showed skill and perseverance.

One other was interesting mainly in showing a bjj guy finish the fight against muay thai guy (who attempted a leg lock takedown!) by throwing a roundhouse shinkick to his eye, within seconds. Nice reversal of styles!!

Dunno how much it would cost you PPV, but you're probably better getting it out on vid.

Sorry Rogue dunno anything about the actual subject, just off to bed: you can have the thread back now!

K-1 is the most exciting ring sport, IMO.

Frye and the big blonde Japanese wrestler gave us a good lesson on how to "intelligentely protecting ourselves"...The christian values of "turning the other cheek"...On why the hell do we need to learn a martial art?...Being big, strong and stupid is enough!
That was very educative on the future of the MMA competitions. The only guy missing is Mankind!...He would fit nice in that circus.
