Is did you win or how did you win more important in a tournament?

How. I really don't care about winning really. I just try to learn something from every experience. Matter of factly, I don't even have my trophies and medals - my mother keeps them at her house. If you remember Ryu's ending on streetfighter 2, my outlook on it is paraphrased perfectly there:

"winning means nothing to him....the fight is everything."

What he said. Heck, I lost most of my crap from tournaments because I didn't keep track of it when I moved. I think I have an old IKF somewhere with one of my wins just let new students know I'm not completely full of sh!t.

I always viewed sparring and tournaments as an exercise to gauge my training needs. - and no that does not meen I lost a lot. I've won more than I've lost. But I've learned more from my losses than my victories.

Competition does help you realize you aren't Wong Fei Hung real fast.
