No I didn't. What did it have to say? Is it still the current issue? If so I might go and have a look.

There are so many branches of the school - Indonesia, Phillipines, China, Malaysia. Even the Malaysian branch has many sub-branches (of which we are one).

I might go and have a look for the mag. If I can't get it can I borrow it from you?

Thanks for the tip. I went out at lunch and bought it. Interesting article. It is actually written by a guy from the Phillipino arm of the style. They are different from the Malaysian arm, even to the point of the forms looking different (even though they have the same names).

The other interesting thing is that they follow a different history of the art than we follow - the history we are taught dates back to 1200-1300 AD whereas theirs starts in the 1800s. The problem is that no one really knows the real history of Ngor Chor.

To be honest, the article was more about the Phillipino school that about the art itself, but that is cool. My late Sigong held the late Phillipino grandmaster in very high regard. From what I understand they are a very tough bunch too :).
