I am curious if anyone has heard anything about this art.
it is a complex derivative of several southern styles. The story goes:
a master of hung gar and bak mei had three sons. one son followed the ways of hung gar, the second son followed the ways of bak mei, but the third son, having studied both, was not happy, and went off into the world to find his own art. for a time he studied wing chun under early followers of the system, chen style tai ji, and also learned phoenix eye system. up until about 100 years ago, the art was known as Chen Gar but was changed to Li Long Bak Mei.
A friend studies this art in tampa under si gung James Whitney's tutelage. si gung Whitney no longer directly teaches the class due to an ailment which keeps him from walking with ease.
Any info would be very well appreciated.
