Pancrase

Been recently sparring the same way they fight. Very little protection, but the strikes are with open hands.... Clinching, kneeing, and groundfighting all at full speed.

What do you guys think? Benefits, dangers, etc. Here's a link.

I've watched this stuff for years, but have only recently tried to use "pancrase" rules as a way of sparring. (Not the only way of sparring, but I think a good one.)

I have a friend that used to do pancrase and I believe that he is a member of this board but he rarely posts. I'm meeting up with im later on and I will tell him about it. Maybe he will lighten up the subject for you.

We did this...it's unsafe in my opinion...and not necessary. I say wear GEAR!!!
