View Full Version : Tze Sua Chien
Has anyone heard of this form? translation is 'pick and play fist'. I think it may be seven star...has a lot of jade ring stance, and use of fists primarily.

Never heard of it.
It is an unlikely name for a PM form.
Who teaches it?
Who is his teacher?
Maybe the form has another name that sounds similar to this one. This is a common occurance.
it could have another similar sounding name, or it could be an invention, or a collection of techniques from different styles. I'll wait and see if there are any more responses before saying where it's from. I know this forum is far from being a comprehensive source of all preying mantis knowledge, but it ought to be a good place to find people who are training or have trained in mantis styles, and know some forms.

The character shua looks much like yao as in jai yao.
In fact it has been misprinted in some kung fu books I have read. I think by 8 Step PM Wei Hsiaotang if I remember correctly.
Pick -tsai sounds like jai so my guess is this is a corruption of the jai yao forms we have been talking about.
Leto,
Would you be willing to tell us where it is from?
