Yes, folks Norman Chin's Travelling Circus will be on display
this Monday Night, July 22 at Shea Stadium before the Mets game.

This is the scond year that Norman's troupe will be performing
for the promotional "Asian Night at Shea".

Red envelopes will be accepted at gate "C"! :-)

What is "Asia Night at Shea"?

The Mets have one week (International Week) where they celebrate the various ethnicities that make up New York. They have Asian Night, Italian Night, Greek Night, Hispanic Night, Irish Night and Jewish Heritage Day.

Thanks HT. I gather it's a bunch of performances of things that represent the various cultures then? Do they play ball afterwards or do teh Mets just open up the Stadium for the shows?

They have the performances then play the game. If I recall correctly, they will have Black 47 performing after the game on Irish night.
