Impressive, I can really see the monkey footwork. It is very similar to ours. I would love to see more, or a even a snipette of a form.

Hey Abel, what do you define as monkey footwork?

This is a serious question, I'm not planning to rip into you or anything. I'm asking because the footwork looks similar to other things I've seen but I wouldn't pick it for monkey. What's the signature that you can see?

Dunno if I'm phrasing this question well, but hopefully you understand what I mean!

The most evident are techniques 1, 3 & 4.
1 is a quick uproot with a hop landing "small"
3 is a parry with a quick shuffle under the strike into what looks like a punch, with the emphasis on an abrupt landing to sink the technique.
4 is another shuffle step with fake and parry above to hit the opening below.

2 is similar to a hip toss. But the way he slips into a bow stance is very monkey

5 is a wrap and punch, not much footwork but very monkey.

You think that's impressive you should see his mantis. There are more good "snippets" on Master Su's website. I haven't seen your stuff but of course it is related to yours. It's kung fu. Not lineage wise though. Master Su's Baji/Piqua comes from Grandmaste Liu. He gets out here to California pretty often to visit us. If you want to see more why don't you just stop by sometime. I've been wondering why why haven't seen you yet? ;)
