I'm reading a lot of pro-weight lifting comments on this board, but am a little confused. Isn't the point of most internal technique to gain an advantage wihtout being against, or fighting the person's force/weight, ect?

Isn't that exactly what weight lifting is? Wouldn't one be instilling the habit to fight against this force by reinstating this aproach in the muscle memory: feel resistance and fight against it, the more resistanvce the harder the push?

At the risk of stirring the soup a bit too much, I agree. I think that the people who are confused are the weight lifting advocates.
