I recently read a history of Filipino MA that stated there is lot's of evidence the Hakka arts influnce Kali, eskrima , etc. I know a little about hakka styles and next to nothing about FMA, so i was wondering if anyone who has more knowldge than me would be willing to share info.
my only exposure to FMA has been playing with a couple of JKD guys, so it's not "traditional"FMA. from what i can tell, the trapping is a bit more percussive, for lack of a better word..... more smacking & less sticky. some of the stick concepts have parallels to the little bit of sword training i've done.
Any thoughts?
