i would like to know if you have heard or trained with sifu tony leung from the u.k, and what you think about his steel wire mantis system?

you can email me if you like so no flame war starts up, but personally i like his kung fu, his power etc. one of his students trained under me for sometime and thats how i got to know alittle about spm. i understand sifu whitrod is the chow gar u.k rep i dont know if he still is though!

Firstly I have not trained with Tony Sifu, but I have seen footages of him doing seminars, he represents his style of Hung Gar and Chow Gar mantis and he is a master of his art.

Paul Whitrod Sifu is the rep of UK Chow Gar and Paul Brennan Sifu is the rep for Australia.


As far as the power of SPM, there are more than just one Strong " Yang " power, there are also "Yin" which I found in many Bak Mei and hakka dragon styles, and of course "UM" ging inside the body.

I can understand that you are excited about SPM yang power, but there is more than just employing one power, it is the ability to able to use all these three powers (interchangable and one after another)in your strikes which make you a complete SPM practitioner.

thanks for the answer, i understand there are different powers but i would llike to learn more about them maybe meet up for a chat if you wouldnt mind. always trying to understand the chinese meanings better, i hate being a gwalo sometimes...hehehe i also have tony sifu on tape at a seminar and he has some ging thats for sure.

do you think his spm power is alittle differnt because of his hung gar?
