Any of you ever have trouble sleeping because you start dreaming about code? I am very serious too. I'll sometimes get stuck in an endless loop, or be trying to fix a bug I fixed earlier that day. What do you folks do in these kind of circumstances?

ewallace.

I get it at times when I got a bug I can't find.
Normally take a hot bath, cool beer, good Book and try to relax.

Often when I relax the solutions suddenly pops up.

Cheers.

I listen to some good music, man.

ALL OUT OF LOVE (Air Supply)

I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
Thinking of you till it hurts
I know you hurt too but what else can we do
Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your smile and my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn't really know, doesn't really know

Chorus:
I 'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you
I know you were right believing for so long
I 'm all out of love, what am I without you
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong

I want you to come back and carry me home
Away from this long lonely nights
I'm reaching for you, are you feeling it too
Does the feeling seem oh so right
And what would you say if I called on you now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please love me or I'll be gone, I'll be gone

Repeat Chorus

Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?

Repeat Chorus x3

Looks like I need to find a book and start the bath then.

Sex is great for taking your mind off it. :D

Otherwise, meditation can also help.

Years ago I lived in Spain for a while. I lived just around the corner from a tavern that had one of those stand-up arcade versions of Tetris (I said this was years ago!)

I used to spend hours in the tavern drinking cerveza and playing Tetris. At night, when I lay down and closed my eyes, all I could see were colourful, falling tetris bricks of varying shapes.

Sometime it would last for hours.

Mind boggling.

Serpent.

I had that problem after playing lots of "BLOCK OUT" using complex shapes.

Way better than Tetris.

Cheers.

Well.. I'm in college (returning student... I'm old! 26 isn't too bad, I guess:P ) and when I took my c++ class, I was dreaming nothing but code for almost the whole class.

Relaxation is the key here. Usually I'd take a break and do some kung fu (if I could spare the time)... if not, a hot bath and/or sex can definitely help:)

I work in networking but I know what you mean. After engulfing yourself in something it can really stay in your mind. I usualy either do MA, exsersize, or play cool PC games.

I often have dreams/nightmares relating to whatever game I happen to be playing. Recently I have been waking up in cold sweats after having had to deal with storm troopers and evil jedi in my dreams :D
