Can anyone suggest a good book on Qigong for a complete beginner. I have been training faithfully for 2 + years and beleive that now is a good time to start some internal work. This book could involve very basic excercises with plan suggestions or just principals and concepts to get me warmed up for whatever comes next.

TIA

AOF.

I've liked The Way of Energy. It's based on the eight section (or silk) brocade. It a Shaolin qigong form. Very simple. It does have a few variations though. The Way of Energy book also has some static position qigong. Just a suggestion. I'd recommend finding a good teacher, that way fewer mistakes will be made or continued.

I used to live in Phoenix, I might be able to suggest a school to go to or to stay away from if your in the Phoenix or Mesa area. I used to teach at some schools down there.

One of the best beginner Chi Kung videos is Helen Wu's 20 Posture Medical Chi Kung - www.masterhelenwu.com

It was taught here by Master Wu herself at our local healing arts center and has become rather popularized and enjoyed by many practitioners locally. Enjoy.

I bought his ba gua cascading pam tape, and frankly, his ba gua sucks. Buyer beware.

the 8 section brocade was in KFQ ayear or so ago, I think in the one with eagle claw people on the cover. That's not a bad place to start.
