Within the Wing Chun community there is a debate going on about the origin of Wing Chun Kung Fu. There has been some mention within various lineages about a prominent figure in the 22nd generation of Shaolin, namely Yat Chum Dai Si aka
Yat Chum Um Jee who was reputed to have been a founder of a temple on Mt Heng.

The above link has the pertinent details.

Suffice it to say that other than within the wing chun community (Pan Nam style Wing Chun and Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun) I have not come across any other references to this figure.

I was wondering of any of you pure Shaolin style practitioners have heard of this person, or if there is any information on the shaolin leadership around the 22nd generation.

It made sense to me to just go ahead and check with the Shaolin folks here to see what you may know.
