OT - can you use the open guard to defeat a boxer?

Basenji is slightly mystical dog possibly working as a link between canine of the old/wild and modern dogs as some believe.African fellow who is very well known of his inability to bark,besides squealing.
Considering this basenji certainly has an element of surprise and it seems that boxer is not protecting one´s centerline or face at all...
besides that boxer still has some edge over the opponent.

A good question anyways.
