You want leather shin/instep pads. They are on page three of this list for $39.00, sometimes they run sales and you can get 'em for $29.00. This is compared to the hefty $59 to $69 dollar price tag that most suppliers charge for leather shin/instep pads.

The Glove size depends on your weight. I weigh between 140 to 150lbs, so I have to wear 14oz leather boxing gloves for competition. Maybe Sanshou Guru or someone else could break down the weight/glove size chart for ya.
