I don't really have enemies. I have opponents.

I fight in tournaments and in rings. It's never personal; I'm competing because I love to do it, and to see how well I can do. I hold no animosity to the person across the mat from me; I'm just going to do whatever I can to win.

It's been years since I've been in a fight on the street; hasn't happened since long before I started taking martial arts. I imagine I'd be a bit more effective now, but it's not what I train for.

another answer for my question:

- social problems
- your neighbour

we were talking about tradicional medicine in class, teas, herbs, magic, religion rituals... then i opened my mouth and said:
MUSHROOM TEA

Fact I: If i talk too much i get put in a nuthouse
Fact II: If i dont talk i dont get the wimmins

Question I: Are there good wimmin in the nuthouse?
Question II: What are the effects of the drugs they give you on the nuthouse over your libido?

Xebsball

You do have an enemy, its the oponents technique/force. And you love fighting his force, though you got nothing against him, you do have something against his force. You want to defeat his force, beat his force, rape his force -> because its what is getting on your way of winning the tournament.
You want to bathe in his forces blood.
The fatigue might be your enemy too.

Well, good night :)

Now that's a fine example of a community coming together.

Hmmm... poor choice of words, perhaps.

My plan, assuming all goes well, is to start working on something for the ezine this week. I'm hoping to make our May 15th ezine update, but I'll be honest and say that this is a back burner project to the many fires that I have to put out as part of my daily routine. Keep an eye on the ezine and on the announcements at the top of the forum. And thanks for all your encouragement. :)

Level 5
-------------------------------------------------
The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx.
Take the Dante Inferno Hell Test (http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.html)

Although I can't reproduce the chart here, in addition to scoring "Extreme" in the category of Wrathful and Gloomy, I also scored "Extreme" for Heretical, and "Very High" for the categories of Gluttonous and Violent.

any and varied sinners suffer eternally in the multi-leveled Malebolge, an ampitheatre-shapped pit of despair Wholly of stone and of an iron colour: Those guilty of fraudulence and malice; the seducers and pimps, who are whipped by horned demons; the hypocrites, who struggle to walk in lead-lined cloaks; the barraters, who are ducked in boiling pitch by demons known as the Malebranche. The simonists, wedged into stone holes, and whose feet are licked by flames, kick and writhe desperately. The magicians, diviners, fortune tellers, and panderers are all here, as are the thieves. Some wallow in human excrement. Serpents writhe and wrap around men, sometimes fusing into each other. Bodies are torn apart. When you arrive, you will want to put your hands over your ears because of the lamentations of the sinners here, who are afflicted with scabs like leprosy, and lay sick on the ground, furiously scratching their skin off with their nails. Indeed, justice divine doth smite them with its hammer.

Two nuns sitting in the bath together (saving water, I assume).

One nun is leaning back, smiling beatifically. The other is feeling around under the water.

The one feeling around says, "Sister Mary, where's the soap?"

Sister Mary looks up smiling and replies, "I know it does, but it feels so good!"

There are times when you get suckered in
by drugs and alchohol and sex with women, mmkay
But it's when you do these things too much
That you've become an addict and must get back in touch

You can do it, it's all up to you, mmkay
With a little plan you can change your life today
You don't have to spend your life addicted to smack
Homeless on the streets giving handjobs for crack
Follow my plan and very soon you will say: it's easy mmkay

Step 1: Instead of ass say buns, like "kiss my buns" or "you're a buns hole"
Step 2: Instead of **** say poo, as in "bull poo", "poo head" and this "poo is cold"
Step 3: With ***** drop the T cuz bich is latin for generosity
Step 4: Don't say **** any more
cuz **** is the worst word that you can say
So just use the word "mmkay"!!!

We can do it it's all up to us, mmkay (mmkay)
With a little plan we can change our lives today (you can change it today)
We don't have to spend our lives shootin up in the trash
Homeless on the streets giving handjobs for cash
Follow this plan and very soon you will say:
It's easy mmkay!!

We shouldn't say **** ****, we shouldn't say **** **** NOOOOOO!!!
You're cured, you can go!

We don't have to spend our lives shootin up in the trash
Homeless on the streets giving handjobs for cash

A buddy of mine brought back a bottle from the UK and we sampled it over the weekend. As most of you know, absinthe is illegal in the U.S. - you can get it over the net - or get it past customs if you can convince them that you are just a collector and have no intention of drinking it. Well, I 'fess up. I'm a law breaker.

Absinthe hits pretty hard with the first shot. It's a harsh taste, laden with anise, and typically pour over suger so you cut it with 4/5 parts water. There is a distinct flavor that all the sugar, water and anise attempts to conceal. It looks like aftershave, and probably doesn't taste to different. With it comes a distinct buzz beyond the alcohol, not unlike the sensation of good tequila, but uniquely its own. It's definately an up - stimulating - which is bad becuae it makes you drink more, yet at the same time, it has a numbing effect on the tongue and your limbs feel pretty light and airy. After three shots, we were all buzzing like crazy. Then the other shoe dropped. One of my buddies drove home and we were all too buzzed to stop him. He was busted for a DUI a few blocks from his home. A few hours later I was projectile vomiting all over my buddies yard and spent the next morning dry heaving every hour on the hour for about five hours. I'm still re-hydrating.

So maybe for me, I should heed the law and avoid absinthe. At least I didn't Van Gogh my ear.

P.S. Margie, what would I know about lesbian parties? Are you hinting at something?

There are a few pages devoted to the culture of absinthe
drinking in an essay on Rimbaud by William Ober in his book _Bottoms
Up!_ (a rather unusual book, check it out). Alexis Lichine mentions it
in his books on spirits. Wormwood and its chemical constituents are well
documented in Mrs. Grieve's _Herbal_ (a very good source book on herbs;
I have found that British sources tend to be much more thorough and
grounded in research than American ones, which tend to rely on hand me
down tales and hearsay).

True absinthe (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/absinthe/absinthe_basics.shtml) was marked by its intense green color (which
usually came from herbs other than wormwood, which is a gray-green at
best). This lead to cases in which the drink was adulterated with copper
salts, doubtless to the consumers detriment. The best absinthe contained
70-80% alcohol, which in itself makes a case for why it might be a
dangerous drink. Its psychoactive effects are the result of both a high alcohol content and the presence of thujone (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/absinthe/absinthe_info3.shtml), the primary active ingredient inwormwood. (http://www.erowid.org/plants/wormwood/wormwood.shtml),.
The 1911 edition of the Britannica remarks, "There is some
reason to believe that excessive absinthe-drinking leads to effects
which are specifically worse than those associated with over-indulgence
in other forms of alcohol."

It makes no difference to me that Hemingway is writing about bottom of the barrel sorts and Fitzgerald is writing about the so-called elite, because they're not really those people, they're just characters, and so it's the way the writer tricks me into thinking of those characters as those things that I get lured in by.

Everyone's hating Paul. John liked the superstar thing too, he probably would have overstayed his hipness had he lived to. George was the only one modest enough to move on, and Ringo never really pretended he was anything but Ringo, didn't he himself say "I'm famous for being famous"?

Here is the text to my (hastily written) term paper on comics and neo-expressionism.

Neo-expressionism as a movement in painting began to achieve prominence in the late 70s (although some would classify earlier artists, especially Bacon as neo-expressionists as well.) The defining qualities of neo-expressionism are generally considered to be a renewed interest in figuration and representation as a reaction against abstract and non-objective art, distortion of the figure, textural brushwork, and a heroic scale. The underground comics movement is generally considered to have originated with the publication of God Nose in 1964 by Jack Jackson using the pen name Jaxon (although some would argue that earlier publications such as the satirical magazine Mad edited by William Gaines, and the comic strip
Krazy Kat by George Herriman are important progenitors.) The defining qualities of comics are the use of juxtaposed images to create a visual narrative and the use of industrial reproduction to
reach a mass audience. Within comics, underground comics are defined economically by the presumption of a sub- or counter-cultural audience, and distribution that matches the habits of that audience. Underground comics are defined stylistically by the lack of a ‘house style’ wherein the artists individual expression is subsumed to the need for consistency and by writing that deals with the concerns of the sub- or counter-cultural audience that is mentioned above (and which the artist and writer – usually the same person – tend to consider peers rather than just a market.) Comics has been considered, in the United States at
least, as a black sheep cousin to art even though throughout the twentieth century fine artists have expressed appreciation for various manifestations of the form and appropriation of the form’s imagery. For example, Picasso’s love of Krazy Kat and Roy
Liechtenstein’s use of panels by Jack Kirby. Therefore, it is clear that despite a lack of widespread respect for comics, fine art and comics have an interdependent history that links them. I
believe that by keeping figuration paired with distortion and expressive visual strategies (as well as counter-cultural concerns) the underground comics movement of the 1960s and early 1970s laid groundwork for the neo-expressionists of the late 1970s and
1980s. Furthermore, I believe that once neo-expressionism and underground comics were established, they both influenced the second wave of underground comics (also called “The Small Press
Explosion”) of the mid 1980s and 1990s, when the humorous and satirical tone of early undergrounds was joined by a more somber and literary form of expression.
I stated above that the usually agreed upon origin of Underground Comix (to use a spelling intended to separate the counter-cultural material from that aimed at a youth audience) is Jack Jaxon’s God Nose of 1964. While this is true, the most influential figure in the first wave of Comix is undoubtedly Robert Crumb, who founded Zap! Comix in San Francisco in 1968. Zap! Comix featured short vignettes, absurd situations, and psychedelic art. It was sold in head shops and other hippie hangouts, and soon brought Crumb such fame (and notoriety) that he was commissioned to create album covers for popular rock bands, such as Big Brother and the Holding Company’s Cheap Thrills and Janis Joplin’s I Got Dem Ol’ Kosmic Blues Again Mama. In the wake of the success of Zap! Comix, many imitators popped up from all over the map, among the best known being
Bijou Funnies (various, edited by Jay Lynch, 1968) Wonder Warthog (Gilbert Shelton, 1973), and Zippy the Pinhead (Bill Griffith, 1970.) What all these strips and books had in common were heavy references to pop culture, counter-cultural and psychedelic images and politics, and biting satirical humor. Even mainstream publishers of kid’s comics like Marvel took notice and
began to incorporate the individualistic and unconventional (for the medium) styles and themes into their product lines in such titles as Steve Gerber’s 1976 Howard the Duck.
Examples of cartoon-like imagery abound in the work of various neo-expressionists, most notably in the ‘bubble’ figures of Keith Haring, which in addition to their use of dynamic simplicity of design show the influence of mechanical reproduction techniques by their monochromaticism (an inevitable result of using inexpensive black and white printing.) Other artists who use the highly delineated, short strokes and simplified color schemes native to cartoons and comics include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Georg Baselitz and Francesco Clemente. Although they are more
contemporary with the first wave of Underground Comix, I think it is arguable that Peter Saul and Philip Guston are also progenitors of neo-expressionism and certainly their work visually resembles
neo-expressionism and the underground Comix. Aside from the issue of audience the chief differences in the methods of the first wave underground cartoonists and the neo-expressionists are in scale, surface, tone and narrative. I maintain that these differences aside, the visual impact of the two styles is very
similar, and perhaps those differences are negligible. Neo-expressionists, as mentioned before, tend to created on a very large scale, often approaching the heroic. This permits them to create strokes in a very physical, gestural fashion, which results in the heavily textured surfaces which often have elements of
collage, such as in the work of Schnabel and Basquiat. Neo-expressionists also work in a context that caters to the gallery and museum market environment, which requires that works be wholly contained within a single frame or moment of visual impact. By contrast, underground cartoonists use the same strategies of distortion, gesture, visual simplification, and
appropriation to create what is in the industry called ‘original art’ but which is never seen in that form by the audience it is made for. Readers of underground comix inevitably see scaled-down mechanical reproductions of the artists work, so the scale is
hand-sized, the images separated by ‘gutters’ (the spaces between panels) divided into pages, and bound into a booklet in the case of books, or printed as one element on a page in the case of strips. When press-based reproduction is the medium for
distribution of the image, large scales and complex surfaces become not merely irrelevant, but a hindrance to the process. The remaining difference between neo-expressionists and the first wave of the underground comix artists is content. Neo-expressionists followed the example of their forebears, the 19th century expressionists by creating figural representations of mental and emotional states. The intention of a neo-expressionist is to evoke these thoughts and emotions in a viewer by means f subject matter, color, texture and composition.
Narrative concerns are dealt with in a single panel, wth no need for examining more than one section of the work to explore the story, and as a consequence, narratives (where they exist in neo-expressionism) are simple to the point of atomism. Underground comix artists, by contrast, saw themselves as entertainers at least as much as artists, and therefore made it their mission to amuse and divert their readers as often as they did to move them emotionally or intellectually. Distortion therefore tended toward the humorous rather than the disturbing, although in such works as Robert Crumb’s Stoned Again, both apply. Narrative in comics is more complex than in single-panel works, since the use of multiple panels enables long sequences of events to be shown. As a result of these two elements to the style, underground comix often evoke the feeling of a comedic short film by a surrealist director (Andre Breton making Mickey
Mouse shorts?)

The streams of neo-expressionism and underground comics began to unite fairly early, I would say first of all in Justin Green’s 1972 piece Binky Brown Meets the Holy Virgin Mary, an autobiographical account of the author’s teenage battle with schizophrenia and a strict Roman Catholic upbringing. However, it wasn’t until Art Spiegelman began publishing the anthology
RAW in 1980 that neo-expressionism’s serious tone began to be a significant element in the comix movement. RAW is most famous for providing a place for Spiegelman to serialize his long piece Maus, an account of his father’s experiences in Poland under
the Nazis with characters drawn as mice, cats, pigs, and so on depending on their nationality, a kind of heavy-handed symbolism closely matches that demonstrated by Eric Fischl and especially Georg Baselitz. Perhaps even more significant, however, was the fact that RAW helped introduce Dan Clowes and Chris Ware. In fact, I would like to devote the rest of this essay to the works of three artists whose work in the late 1980s and 1990s I believe to be an apotheosis of the neo-expressionist style in underground comics. Clowes and Ware are two of those artists, the other is Jim Woodring. All three are closely associated by virtue of their association with the publisher Fantagraphics Books. It is through Fantagraphics that Clowes has created his magazines Lloyd Llewellen and Eightball; Ware has done the same with his Acme Novelty Library and Jimmy Corrigan, and Woodring has published Jim and Frank.
Dan Clowes is the oldest and probably the best known of the trio, since his comics novella Ghost World (originally serialized in Eightball) has become a cult hit as a motion picture. Ghost World is fairly typical of Clowes’ work, dealing as it does with an
increasingly strained friendship between two inseparable teenage girls (the movie takes considerable liberties with the plot) who have just graduated from high school and are attempting to decide on a future for themselves. The art is
unusually sedate, in black and white line drawings with a light blue highlight that suggests the glow of a television. There is very little distortion of bodies or other objects except when characters are dreaming. The characters of Enid and Rebecca sit in constant judgment of the world around them, almost all
of which is found wanting. Enid in particular, like many of Clowes’ creations, is ‘too cool for school,’ and too self-absorbed to find pleasure in anything but her own private obsessions. Other characters from Clowes who fit this description include the nameless narrators of MCMLXVI, Blue Italian ****, and Caricature. For all but the narrator of Blue Italian ****, their obsessions explicitly betray them and they become incapable of enjoying anything at all. This slide into complete alienation is not only a recurrent theme in Clowes’ work, but probably the overarching
theme of his entire career. Ghost World is the most naturalistically drawn of Clowes’ major works, probably because it is where he has the most sympathy for his characters and doesn’t wish to turn them into grotesques. Characters like Dan Pussey (from the novella Pussey!) and the narrator of MCMLXVI are shown with every physical flaw magnified to the point of
repulsion, which reflect their unhappy, distorted personalities.
Chris Ware is the most experimental of the three, using the multi-panel possibilities of the comics medium to stretch and distort time and space, blur the distinction between actual events and the fantasies of an unreliable narrator, create characters that are fantastic or even mythological in their physical traits, and sometimes eliminate written dialog completely in favor of a set of visual symbols (heart, skull, cloud, dagger, light bulb, and so on.) There are two equally fascinating sections of Ware’s work, the first of which was developed in the comics he drew for the Daily Texan, the student newspaper of the University of Texan, when he was an undergraduate. A great many of these have been collected in the early issues of The Acme Novelty Library. This set of work revolves around the misfortunes of a variety of cartoon style characters, Quimby the Mouse (sometimes the conjoined twin Quimbies the Mouse), Potato Guy (a small lumpen creature who often loses his eyeballs), Rocket Sam (a robot) and Big Tex. In these comics, the individual characters rarely interact with anyone else, as we see them struggle with their physical deformities and utter lack of connection to the world around them. The characters of Quimby(ies) the Mouse and Potato Guy are tiny and drawn dozens of times apiece on a vast page. They occupy seemingly deserted buildings and cities, further emphasizing their isolation. All of their misadventures end in tragedy. Quimby is logorrheaic and never quits talking to himself in an effort. Quimbies and Potato Guy are apparently incapable of using words and only communicate with gesture, facial expression and the kind of visual outburst I described before, which appear in speech balloons for Quimbies and disembodied above the head of Potato Guy. Rocket Sam and Big Tex are drawn larger and occupy meticulously rendered naturalistic spaces, though both are as isolated from any company as Quimby and Potato Guy. Rocket Sam is silent and (as a robot) lacks facial expression. Big Tex is simply an aged cowhand with no contact with anyone but his horse. The second stream of Ware’s work is in the serialize Jimmy Corrigan (subtitled The Smartest Kid on Earth.) Jimmy is shown variously as a child in a broken home engaging in power-trip fantasies, and a painfully shy and developmentally arrested adult with a dead end job and ball busting mother and who still engages in compulsive fantasizing. Jimmy is not the only inhabitant of his world (unlike Quimby et al) but all other the other
characters he encounters are off-panel, or at least their faces are, until he meets his long lost father and the sister he never knew he had. Ware favors either a black and white or extremely muted color scheme for almost all of his work, and frames
everything within ornate, art-deco influenced pages that simultaneously delight the eye with their meticulous curlicues and filigrees while they serve to freeze the action within the page and create an emotional distance between the reader and the
characters.

Chang Style Novice
05-08-2003, 11:03 AM
Jim Woodring also makes use of wordless pantomimed action in his Frank pieces, but while Ware appears to be attempting to evoke silent films and animated cartoons, Woodring will sometimes use brilliantly vibrant color to create a supersaturated world where anything could (and does) spring to life at any time. The character of Frank itself is an homage to Disney and Warner Brothers type cartoon characters – he appears to be an anthropomorphized rodent. He walks upright and wears white shoes and gloves with four fingers, his body is purplish, his eyes simple circles-and-dots, and he has bucked teeth and a tail. Other mute creatures live in his peculiar world, such as Manhog ( a naked, venal, pitiful presence), Whim (a devilish creature with a head shaped like a crescent moon), the Jerry Chickens (a trio of birds shaped respectively like a cone, sphere and cube,) Pupshaw (Frank’s pet and protector) and Pushpaw (Pupshaw’s feral mate), and Frank’s Real Paw (a version of Frank who walks on all fours and gives him good advice) and his counterpart Frank’s Faux Paw (who looks identical to Frank’s Real Paw but is sent by Whim to lead Frank astray.) This cast of creatures enacts silent dramas that have mysterious resonances for the reader, where the recurrent theme is apparently the struggle for Frank’s soul. Strange places spontaneously change appearance and weather, unidentifiable devices are used to perform achieve incomprehensible accomplishments, characters transform in unpredictable ways and trade roles without explanation. While
generally Frank seems to be a foolish innocent in danger of temptation by weakness or evil, he is capable of acts of terrible cruelty and retribution. Everything in Frank’s world is drawn or painted (the stories are sometimes created in pen and ink and
sometimes in watercolor) with equal liveliness – plants, buildings, furniture, landscape, sky and so on seem as if they could come to life any moment and act as friend or foe. In fact, often they do. Jim Woodring has said in interviews and his own writings
that he doesn’t consider himself to create the Frank Stories, but rather that they are ‘received transmissions’ which he relates to the reader. What this apparently means is that he transcribes them from his dreams and spontaneous fantasies, but that he
never ‘works’ on them or subjects them to an editing process. As a side effect of such an uncontrolled process, he claims that he often doesn’t understand them himself as he endeavors to put them on paper, and that frequently he will recognize embarrassing personal revelations have been made in his stories
after they have been published or gone to press and it is too late to regretfully withdraw them from circulation. Whether this is true or PR-style self-mythologizing I cannot say, but I do know that Woodring’s work gets under my skin like no-one else’s,
and I find myself hypnotized by his forms and colors while I squirm uncomfortably at the stories that transfix my attention.
To summarize, while Guston, Bacon, and Saul and their cohort were reviving figuration and representation and subjecting them to expressionist distortions in the 1960s and 1970s, Robert Crumb, Jack Jackson, Gilbert Shelton and their cohort were doing the same to comedic rather than dramatic effect in the medium of comics. In the 1980s and 1990s, both groups influenced a second generation of cartoonists who used the mass-medium possibilities of mechanical reproduction and the counter-cultural market pioneered by the first wave of underground comix to explore their themes of alienation and inner conflict in a more somber and literary fashion.

Good stuff, indeed.

But you should aviod using "I" in a critical essay. Obviously, you think these things because you are writing about them. Referring to yourself is a fallacy because it leads to subjectivism and can really undermine a well-researched discussion.

Summer romance

As I lay on my bed, thinking about you, I feel this strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because I can't forget last night. You came to me unexpectedly during the balmy and calm night, and what happened in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me. You appeared from nowhere and shamelessly, without any reservations, you laid on my naked body...you sensed my indifference, so you applied your hungry mouth to me without any guilt or humiliation, and you drove me near crazy while you drained me. Finally I went to sleep. Today when I woke up, you were gone, I searched for you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to last night's events. My body still bears faint marks of your enthusiastic ravishings, making it harder to forget you.

Tonight I will remain awake waiting for you...

....you ****ing mosquito.

It sucks here and it is hot. Atleast they are not shooting much at us anymore. During the war we were always in our mop suits which protect againgst chemical and biological weapons. We were getting shot at alot too. It calmed down and there is not anymore scud attacks. Atleast we are contributing to the local economy by buying sodas and other things from the locals. "Watch your mouth, call me desperate"
Xebby, 15th May 2003

what makes one think im desperate, im like cooling on the scene like a horse on a stable, silly americans

The other when i had checked out the bjj place i seen a lot of white belts and a blue belt, so i though ok cool. Then i went yesterday at other time, the dudes started coming in, most of them all fit and shyte like that, brown belt, purple belt and white belt. When it was my time to roll... he picked the brown for me wtf, sombeacth, why not a white, why a brown, just cos im like super tough looking probably.
Brown belt actually choked me twice, i dont know what those chokes called though, one is with the gi, is that the clock choke or something i dunno.
We began from the ground, he on bottom, guard position thang.
He told me to try to pass his guard, cos i havent learned no locks or whatever, just had praticed armbar from the guard. Course i havent learned any guard pass either, so its xebby style basicly.
We went on and shyte, one time i "flipped him" somehow and moved to his back, was almost standing up. From there i didnt know what to do, if i knew id re-flip him and rear naked choke whatever. I could though punch him / make him my beatch from there. Tried some shyte to re-flip him then he grabbed my gi pants and i went down too, then i dont know how but we both ended up standing up. I think in the 5 mins i stood up 2 times total (thats for the people that think BJJ DOMINATE MOST DOMINATIONAL U CANT STAND UP).
he layed back on the floor (guard) after we stood up and we got back to the floor again. later i dunno what he flipped me and mounted me, bypassing my ZERO GUARD (thats how i call it, cos it oughta suck since i just learned it that day) and choked me. The second time i was trying to pass his guard and he did some choke on me again, wich he explained how to counter then.
I did pretty good imho, i wanna try out on the white and blues next. Try with this dude again once i learned more moves

Martial circle......

In college, one of my best friends, Danny, studied martial arts. He started showing me some stuff, got me interested. A few months after this, a kung fu school opened down the road, we both joined. I was very busy with school, and the ski team, I was there on and off for the next year and a half (more steady once the ski season was over, missed training during exam periods, etc.) After this graduation occured, I moved to Colorado, Danny moved to Florida. We have kept contact after graduation and all that good stuff. Danny, upon moving to Florida, went out and searched, found a school, studied there, and excelled. Some politics happend, his school split up he went one way, and continued to train hard, accelling, and making it to an assistant instructor. They had opened a new school, pulled in a lot of students very quickly.

I moved to Colorado, immediately started training, been taking a week off here and there because of illnesses or a few months off once b/c of knee injury. All in all things are going well, progression is going well. Most students have gone there own way for the kung fu class. The school was medium sized, and shrinking. Sh'rfu seemed to like this, he was giving the few of us a lot of attention, and progression seemed to spead up. I made assistant instructor at the school, now we are moving to a new location, looking to add classes and students.

My Sh'rfu on a trip to a graduation in Florida, sees an add in a local paper for a somewhat progressive martial arts school, he gives a call, gets to talking with the sifu at that school. He ends up going in and talking more with him. Telling them where his school was etc. an assistant at the school happend to be walking in, my friend from college. He heard Colorado, realizing the oddity, asked this man if he knew me, he said yes.... small world. After a meeting with the sifu, we are going to do an exchange with each other. A plan that my friend and I have had since we left each other in college. Oddities.

Wouldn't that be a good idea if we did come out with the calender and the clothing. For some reason I was just thinking that.:D
