CSN: What's my problem? What's MY problem? I got to administrate this forum, that's what :p You guys just see the big trolls, I get to deal with all the trolls. Just look at the Wing Chun forum - it's a like a deletion a minute (gotta love those guys...)

Margie - We've been discussing expanding the got qi line to include the string tops, sports bras and more for a while. Steve has his got qi hoody, but we haven't offered that one publicly yet. I don't know about lingerie.

About woman always trying to better there appearance, well, don't know about that one. It is nice to an extent, but it gets too competitive (in a way) with woman....

I read a short story last night, The Sliced-Crosswise Only-On-Tuesday World by Philip José Farmer. I wasn't familiar with him, but I liked the story, the end was a little Twilight Zone for me, but I liked it. Anyone know any of his other stuff?

KC Elbows
05-21-2003, 11:48 AM
Actually, I've shown my ignorance. Some of the dates I'm finding on his stuff suggests that Twilight Zone isn't a bad things, since he was writing around that time.

You mean that ****-sucker changed his name on here? What a loser! I mean, why would that freak change his name? Obviously, he is mysterious, and the only inlet to his twisted soul is to buy his book. In fact, I may buy 3 copies, because someone so sneaky as to change their name on a message board might also be sneaky enough to hide various subliminal messages in like, say, 1 of every 3 copies he sells.

I recommended everyone buy 3 copies of that poor soul's book, just so we can investigate this further.

Disturbing, this is.

4/5-5/6: It's a good time to demonstrate your abilities in all areas. But it's also an easy time to get hurt. Don't use sharp weapons or undertake risky training exercises. Avoid driving long distances at night and speeding.

5/6-6/6: Still a good month to show off, but be careful to protect your tendons and bones. Partnerships will come in two extremes, very good and very bad, so be very careful.

Jeeze, I wish I read this earlier...

So, MasterKiller, you're the reincarnation of G H Thomason then?

I wish! That guy rocks. There is no way I could ever be as cool as him.

I mean, if you bought three of these (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0887392040/qid=1053697676/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/104-3862633-2968727?v=glance&s=books) you would figure out this guy is way more clever than me.

I mean, I'm more of a Clark Kent kinda guy, but he's Superman all the way. Or maybe Batman, because he's dark, and kind of mysterious, in that "I'll kick your azz" kinda way. So I guess I would be more like Bruce Wayne, but without the cash, or the cool car, or the chicks.

250 grams radishes
100 grams brown rice
Cut the radishes in small pieces. Combine with rice and water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Let simer for 20 minutes. This soup regulates vital energy, relieves dyspepsia and removes toxins from the bowels.

I'm a Dragon too. And boy, nothing like clean bowels, I always say.

When our resident feng shui master does these forecasts, he adds dietotherapy stuff like the recipes, as well as other feng shui info like when to meditate, etc. It's all related in yin yang five element theory, or at least so I'm told. We don't publish that stuff on the website, only in the print magazine.

Lion Killer? I think that's a rear naked where you compress both sides of his neck with your bicep and forearm of one arm, then use that hand to grab the elbow of your other arm, which you then use to force his head forward.

This one, right? (http://www.adtdl.army.mil/cgi-bin/atdl.dll/fm/3-25.150/fig3-37.gif)

What other bacon sammitch variations would people like to recommend?

I don't eat animals that do not have enough sense to disregard their own feces.

dwid
05-29-2003, 09:35 AM
That's a misconception of pigs.

Pigs are actually very clean animals when put in a circumstance that allows them to be clean. It's farmers that are responsible for pigs covered in their own feces. Any animal product you consume is likely just as dirty.

Anyway, some research is indicating pigs may be almost as smart as dolphins. Bacon is brain food, man!

np- Thanks for more kinds words - Cirque has been a pet project of mine for years. Did you read my previous Cirque piece (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=265)? I kinda got up on my soapbox on that one. I think it's because I know soooo many "future" action stars who have an ounce of stage presence:rolleyes: . As for the Chicken piece, that's more out of personal research just because I've been totally getting into that technique. It was an excuse to get into my Sifu's head about the method and dig out a little more ;) .

mam - You know what Freud said about hats, yes? So BA is as good as LL? How does it compare to that ace ventura 1?

MasterKiller
05-29-2003, 09:42 AM
That's not the right answer.

You were supposed to say, "What about dogs? Dogs eat their own feces."

at which point I would say, "I don't eat dog, either."

to which you would reply, "Yeah, but would you consider a dog a filthy animal."

and I would retort, "I don't know about filthy, but they definitely dirty. But dog's got character."

which would prompt you to argue, "By that rational, a pig would cease to be a filthy animal if it had as much character as a dog."

then, I would say, "We would have to be talking about one charming muther-f@cking pig. He would have to be 10 times more charming than that pig on Green Acres."

GeneChing

...yep, that's the title of my next article. Just gotta do some research...

As for pigs, they are the closest to humans by dentition, meaning we have the same teeth to eat the same things. As for eating feces, well, there's always mcdonalds... Pigs and humans also have the same sexually pheromones. I remember seeing some expose about some UK company that marketed pig pheromone (used in farming for artificial insemination) as a human sexual attractant - they just changed the labels and raised the price (more for the human label.) Personally, I figured that was fair. For some reason, there was this image that stuck out in my mind from that where a farmer sprays the female pig with the pheromone, and she just freezes with a really peculiar expression. Man, I wish the human version worked like that.

Example:

Conan's Owner/Guardian: What is best in life?

Owner's gay son: The open steppe, a fleet horse, a falcon at your breast and the wind in your hair...

Conan's Owner: Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?

Conan: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.

side notes 1: anyone that thinks they need a hummer (humvee, mind you, humvee) should either be in the military or work for the forest service.

side note 2: the funny thing is that most of the ass-clowns that buy a hummer H2 don't know that an H2 is little more than an overly-suspended, overweight chevy suburban. same frame, same engine ... it's like giving marlon brando a new, flashy suit and some sweet new nikes -- he may look cool and have some good wheels, but he's still slow, fat and you don't know how long he'll go before something breaks.

"oh my gosh, Chip. did you know that Buffy's new car -- that big, yellow oversized box she drives around downtown in -- is actually a CHEVY?!?! i about fainted when i found that out. the least she could have done is gotten a mercedes g-wagon. the poor woman. and i thought she had good breeding."

Phoenix Az

Denver, Las Vegas, etc....

These inland cities are interesting, they are a relatively new thing in civilization..... That aside, planning a city...hmm... do they decide where the low cost housing goes etc... Don't look too much into that title, it is always more like city fixing, or at least trying to. As far as roads, they are a dangerous mistress. You design a road for say 20 years, you do this in year 2000. The desing get approved etc. This takes a year, chopping a possible year off of your design. Your funding gets dropped because they cut down on tax revenues, which were already lacking, postponing construction another 2 or 3 years when the revenue comes in again... now you have money to build several projects, that will sort of "disappear" if you don't get all these designed projects built in the time allocated (government money does this disappearing act sometimes....errr) meaning you have too many projects to try to build, so it takes you longer... so now you have cut your 20 year design down to 14 or 15 years.... and that is saying you used the right model for population growth, which is like impossible in cities like Phoenix, Denver, or anywhere else that is having a huge population increase. So chop another 2 or 3 years off this design..... Oh, the kicker is, if you "over"design to accomodate these delays, they tell you to tone it down, that we should try to save the money........

sorry rant over.... got to get back to this super-highway....

rubthebuddha
06-03-2003, 11:57 AM
yeah, np, you're right.

houston's still full of idiots, though. the fact that every single road in my girlfriend's parents' residential neighborhood has been torn up for three months, and it's actually getting worse, lessens my faith.

when i visited, the nature of the project looked like the ones we have here in washington in which a company would go nuts for a couple days, repave, and move on to another area. the project in houston has taken months, and most of the roads and driveways are unsafe to drive on for fear of going off into a ditch if you stray three inches to the side. it's pathetic.

norther practitioner
06-03-2003, 03:03 PM

You should try Polish. The more you make a name into a diminuitive, the longer it gets!

Example:

A Polish girl's name that is quite short in it's actual form is Bogna. The more diminuitive you make it:

Bogna
Boguinka
Boguineczka

etc.

Mad as a sack of snakes them Poles.

Margie, pretty crappy. 2 of my best friends are no longer 2 of my best friends. Went to a friends graduation in a hick town, never left a town as fast as I did there. Nearly took out 2 cars getting on the freeway and almost skidded out. I got on the onramp at 25, by the time I was on the freeway itself I was at 55, and was pushing 85-90 for about 50 miles (in a construction zone, with traffic, at a 55 MPH speed limit) never thought I could drive like that before! :D

But yeah other than the 2 friend thing, staying up for 26 hours straight, waking up after 2 hours of sleep with what felt like a hang over (and I have never drank), I am fine.

**You guys are making me laugh out loud over here. You guys are great.

NP**My girlfriend moved out there with her man, so I go and see her. Lately it has been more often, becuase, you know, sometimes you just need to get away from where you live. Even if it is an hour away.

Serpent**Where is Eulerfan anyways? Do you know?

Philbert**How come you and your friends aren't friends anymore? I find it easier not to have any friends at all. Less Drama. Girlfriends that is. Girls are too competitive to hang out with. No offense to any women out there. Don't get me wrong, I have a like 3 girlfriends I hang out with, but not at the same time.

Shaolin**Oh, this bikini is good. :p

Well, one of them kept telling her best friend all this stuff about me and letting her in on personal information about me and I asked her to stop. I said "How would you like it if I told my best friend all that stuff between you and your ex that I know" and she didn't respond, but she said that its her best friend, like #1 best friend and that she should know. I told her not to talk to me anymore if she won't respect my privacy like I respect hers.

The other is a LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG story. Long, long, story. Basically she became a psycho ***** from hell and kept doing really stupid stuff that'll ruin her life. She kept promising to change, but kept doing it anyway, and trying to get me to do stuff I don't want to do (get wasted). She has totaled 3 cars and she is only 18. Actually she totaled 3 cars and got pregnant once before her 18th birthday. She had miscarriage on her 18th birthday and didn't even know she was pregnant until rushed to the emergency room. Even after that she continued to do stupid stuff and I told her I wasn't going to stand there and continue to watch her destroy herself.

Philbert***That really bites.
Well, one of them kept telling her best friend all this stuff about me and letting her in on personal information about me and I asked her to stop.
I kind of see it from her point of view and yours. It is wrong to go off and tell people something especially when you had asked them not to tell. But then it is her best friend, and that is what girls do, they tell eachother everything. Best thing, dont tell anyone anything. How long have you known this girl for?
As for the other situation, I say good for you for not hanging out with bad influences. You dont need their drama to bring YOU down. I give you mad props.

Master killer**Doesn't it suck that you can't even have your friends over becuase you think that someone is stealing your stuff? I hate that! hey wait a minute, now I know why I dont have friends(well I do, but very few).

Well, if you're not going to run on the wall, there's no need to maintain this Matrix fascade, therefore we can switch the heine's to Guinness. My brother gave me his old brown leather jacket a couple years ago. I love that thing to death. In fact, it is in my car right now, I gotta remember to get it when I get out of school and put it up.

On my 19th birthday I got a car alarm installed and a month later it drained my battery so I got my money back and the alarm removed. So I went out a month later and purchased the leather trenchcoat instead. All 4 of my brothers were making fun of me for buying it and when my uncle was in town just 3 days before Christmas, my brother said "So why arent you wearing your black trenchcoat" and I said I would on Christmas. So in all the Christmas photos I am dressed like Neo. :D

Soooo, Gene, how do I get to be in a photo shoot? :D

Fishing With John (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0139776) is a short TV series that appeared on some cable channel (HBO, I think) about 10 years ago. Only eight episodes were made, and they're all available on a single DVD now. The premise is that musician John Lurie goes on a fishing trip with a buddy, and the whole thing is documented. His buddies include Matt Dillon, Dennis Hopper, Jim Jarmusch, Tom Waits and Willem Dafoe. It's wierd, low-key, deadpan bizarro humor of the finest kind. It's not for everybody, but if it's for you, you won't be able to stop laughing.
