Dear fellows, I got the idea of inviting you all to take a lokk on our website: www.xingyitchuen.com.br The reason is because in the essence, the so-called division between external and internal is something developped by western minds an not those interested in real martial art. As we do have lots of pics with the basics of our applications, we are inviting you to take a look and then a comment.
Thanks for the attention,
from Porto Alegre , Brasil
Bruno Lima Rocha (a student of si-fu Marcello Teixeira)

I stumbled across that site once before. There is an english version of the site also. Although it's easy to find the button for the english version, here is the link:

From looking at this website, I believe that the instructor can apply his art. It doesn't hurt that he's a fit looking guy.

Bruno, very very nice once again. Marcelo looks the part, and I feel real pain just looking at his Beng posture imagining him driving that fist home into my ribs! Nice animal section! You guys keep up the good work.

Has Marcello ever considered any video clips?

Dear fellows,
It's just to tank you all. I'm the one with black trousers and physical t-shirt attacking my si-fu with a balisong. When I lived in Rio I used to be a kind of his stunt, also in presentations (it's an "amazing experience"). Yes, Xebs is studying under mine orientation and Tadzio and I we used to practice when he was in Rio, from 1991-1994, then I left the town, returning in 1999 when he gone to China.
Well, my si-fu is also glad for being productive in Xing Yi and trying to improove the art for real. Anyone who want to talk to him just write: marcello@xingyitchuen.com.br
best regards,
from Porto Alegre, deep south of Brasil,
Bruno

I'll answer that, Mr. Jong

These brazilian Xingyiquan guys love to fight. And they have gone pretty well against BJJ and Vale Tudo players; specially Tadzio. According to what I've heard, he never lost a fight while he was in Brazil. Now he trains in China. We've had exchanged lots of information, and the guy is very down to earth when it comes to actual fighting. No bullshˇt

BTW, Bruno, do you know if Marcello received my e-mail reply?

Hello, everybody. My name is Henrique Mota de Mesquita, and I have been Marcello's student for three years (I´m the guy with a white shirt receiving a bear aplicattion). I practised other martial arts before that, and in my opinion, I feel more secure with XYT, the style is very fierce and objective. I am very satisfied with all the good commentaries refering to our Association. If you have any commentaries or doubts about XYT; or just wanna chat with me about CMA, send me an e-mail message. Thanks to you all, God bless you!

Do you guys still teach Choy La Fut to your new guys with the Xingyi stances to start them off? I have always thought that was a unique and very interesting approach. Also, when you guys spar, what equimpment if any do you use, and how do you spar with Xingyi without trying to kill each other? It is a very aggressive mindset.

CD Lee, you are so right it hurts :D

The Xingyi mindset is a little difficult to use in sparring, due to its agressiveness (My shirts filled with blood, which I keep as a souvenir are proof to that). But one can lessen the impacts, and diminish the intention, to make the non-cooperative sparring a little more safe.

Sorry, guys, I forgot to leave my e-mail adress... Here it is:

hmmesquita@hotmail.com

Now about the sparring, Choy Li Fut and stuff...

Nowadays, Marcello doesn't teach CLF to his new students anymore, just Xing Yi. I began training CLF with him, but we had the mindset of Xing Yi in our learning. It was very interesting, really, but the training of a martial art before XY is not necessary. Talking about sparring, we don't use any equipment, but it is not in a full power manner. Xing Yi is very agressive and objective, but can be trained in a relative secure way. As Bido said, the impact's strength can be reduced, but this method of training does not lessen your power during a real fight (believe in what I say...;) ).

Anyway, I hope I have answered any doubts. Now I must train. Farewell. Ah, Herr Bido, eine frage: Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
