Does anybody know at what height the arms on the wooden dummy should be in relation to your own body,I would imagine it would be shoulder height for correct use of bong and tan.
From alot of pictures i have seen of people using the dummy the arms appear to be lower, solar plexus height.
The reason i ask is that i know somebody who is selling a freestand immortal dummy but the arms seem a bit on the low side with me being 6 foot.

I have an Immortal Dummy, and I found the arms set a bit too high for the way I play the form. I am 5 feet, 11 inches tall and prefer to sit lower in my horse when practicing. The Immortal is designed slightly taller than the standard wooden dummy, I assume to satisfy practitioners of different height, since it comes only in one size. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with it.

My best suggestion is sit lower when playing the form. I have classmates who are taller than you, and they have no problem with the dummy.

They should be around chest height.
