I'm studying Shaolin kung-fu and I really like it, but someone told me that I should learn Hung-Gar kung-fu because it has a lot more to offer me. Is this true or is it B.S.

Does anyone here know what the difference between the 2 styles?

Hung gar is considered a derivative school of Shaolin. It also would all depend on the schools, each has many strong points to it. What type of shaolin school do you go to (northern, southern, bak sil lum, five animals, etc.)? Hung gar is a longer fisted southern system, which is based on the five animals..... there is a lot of info on both systems, I would recomend doing a search of both this forum and the internet in general.
